Our first (and currently only) piece of content about Troika's next project has just been put up. Entitled Rumours, Speculation and Wild Guesses, the article gives you the limited information we know so far about Troika's next, as yet unannounced title. Will it use the Half-Life 2 engine as evidenced by what is some speculated concept work for the game? Will it have a post-apocalyptic theme? Who knows. But that's not going to stop us from making wild accusations, waving our finger madly about in the air and proclaiming "the butler did it in the hallway with the candlestick!". To whet your appetite, here's some concept art rumoured to have been made for project Mystary!

The article is just our slow plodding continuation of adding in content for all of Troika's games, along with getting the old Arcanum content back online and working properly again. Apologies to those who are inconvenienced in the meantime.

Special thanks to Chris Glenn formerly of Troika Games for permission to upload his concept art images into our Gallery.
WOOOOOHOOO! Going by the pictures, it's definately not impossible that this could be Arcanum 2! I mean, it shows two guys wearing what looks like leather armor, and one of them is brandishing what could be a cross between a spear and a, uh, rifle (yeah, I guess it could be an odd-looking branch, but hey, I'm blinded with anticipation) If that's the case, I won't promise to record myself doing the Yatta dance and make the film available at HoL!
Ehhh sorry to dash your hopes like that but it is a post apoc game . Something like MAD MAX type. You know civilization collapsed and ...
We've only got rumours that it could be a post-apocalyptic sci-fi game, not an actual confirmation that it is. Those post-apocalyptic scenes could as well be from Vendigroth. Well, I admit that might not be so bloody likely, but until we've got something that actually confirms what it is, I'll keep on dreaming.
Then again, maybe not. I think Arcanum's goose has been cooked as regards a sequel -- my thought is that the first game didn't do well enough to warrant another. The concept art looks closer to Fallout than Arcanum.
Now thats wishful. I just hope Fallout has either a glorious comeback in some kind of Morrowind/Bloodlines format, or just dies peacefully. I would love it if it were arcanum, because arcanum's world just doesnt seem to lend itslf quite as well to the same macho-idiot action game criteria developers have recently percieved in fallout. The material would just lend itself more readily to a more intellignent gaming experience, of course, this is also a reason I think the arcanum world is done for.
Possibly, or some kind of glaive. Doesn't really matter what it is, let's just agree on that it's some kind of polearm. Of course, this relates to Arcanum as well. Few things have such a potential for driving me mad as quality artwork being utterly destroyed by some half-assed sequel. It should be all or nothing.
at the risk of sounding overly hopeful - is it possible that they have picked up the fallout 3/ van buren licence from interplay, now that they have gone poopy? theres certainly the market for it at the present, and in recent fan polls they would be the fans choice for continuing the game. the other thing that it makes me think of, is the edgar rice burroughs - john carter of mars books. very steampunk, and alien.
well that picture has been there for a while, I think I saw it around the time when TOEE was released, it was definently there before the cancelling of FO3.
