Question about one particular schematics (**SPOILER**)

While getting rid of bad guys in the Bates fatures I managed to come acros a schematics for Schrecks double barrell handgun. I'm out of the factury now and when I try to drug the item to the hand icon in my inventory screen the icon lights red. Is that how it's supposed to be? Is that schematics a part of some quest that I have to complete? Answer would be greatly appreciated.

 

I don't think any schematics is part of any quest.

 

yeah, that schematics is a theif quest, given by the underground. you gotta get the quest from a thief first, then go to mr black and sell it to him. you can't use it.

Thanks, theshadow, I was a bit confused because I though that the way the game is bult there might be different option for using this or that item. I would love to create a double barrell handgun. It would be nice if Troika would allow that in their next patch.
The schematics is for scheck's double barrell handgun. It could be found in one of the chests in Bates faactory.
By the way which theift has to give the quest? I don't think I can get it because thiefs don't even want to talk to me. Probably my aptitute is too much to the good side for them.

I believe that is actually the 'multibarreled' rather than double...at least in my copy.

And yes, a few bow schematics that I can think of at the moment, pyrotecnic, poison...no electrical as far as I've seen...though it would be cool (do insane fatigue and stun like a Taser!)

Thieve's Quests...

Larsen: To answer your question, any thief you meet on the streets will give you information about items you can steal for the underground. The problem you're having is that you aren't a member of the Thieve's Underground, and until you join them, they won't tell you anything useful. Hope this answers your question.
