I've started an Arcanum D&D campaign which takes place in the Age of Legends. I'm kind of a noob at DMing and stuff, so does anyone have any advice? (please don't say stuff like "give up" )

    Thank you! :)

    Cool! :)

PnP roleplaying can be great fun if you're in the right group! I'm sure you'll handle the whole DMing part but... how will you deal with the magick/technology dichotomy? Or are you scrapping the aptitude system altogether?

    I take it you're using D&D 3.5?

Yes, I am using 3.5. And I think I'm probably scrapping the aptitute system :/

The website I linked in my profile has lots of interesting reading for making steampunk P&P games. Maybe GURPS Age of Napoleon and GURPS Fantasy can add something too(as it's not easy to find rulebooks with both magick and technology). D&D is too medieval fantasy and combat-focused to work properly for a Setting like Arcanum in my opinion, because that is what it was made for in the first place.

    Welcome to the forum, Jason!

I started to post a link for a steampunk manual but it's already at the website.
There was another one I'd seen at Rapidshare but damned if I can remember the name of it.
