    Nope, you can take his schematic, or you can convince him to join your party. Or you can go to Ashbury (have a kathron and 1k with you) and talk to the guy in spectacle store.

    you Have to kill him if you can't persuade him since I would not advise the glasses maker in ash since alot of people could not have him make it cause of bugs. You could also pickpocket him for it.

    Besides, there isn't much of a consequence for killing Thorvald. No one else on the island seems to care if you kill him.

    Except the wheel clan? I'm pretty sure I killed Thorvald, and no one at the Wheel Clan gave a damn. It never even came up.

    i never really killed him i just told that one spectacle dude to make me some(i keep fogetting to kill him and get my money back cause he made some damn cheap glasses they broke in like 2 hits)

    Ill try killing all dwarves, all their clans and see if I get a reputation as Dwarf enemy first and then Dwarf eliminator. And get an ending that dwarves are extinct species.
