So, I'm going to start a new game of car arcanum. Any thing in particular I should know that will make the start easier?
At the start: Get all nine of the antigravity diamonds. You won't need them all, but.... Near the cabin at the crash site is a charm that looks like a trap. It is horribly over-weight and the merchants consider it stolen, but Althea will pick it up every time. Take it from her and drop it into a chest in one of the caves. To give Althea things she doesn't want, get her alone, then drop the item and walk away a few steps. She'll then go pick it up. Enjoy the adventure. Edit: A little something for after you return from the Void. http://terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12654
Thanks. BTW, one of the bonuses given by the DM (gladiator) is 5/4 melee and dodge. What does the 5/4 mean? And which is better for a battlemage, brusier or gladiator?
Whenever you spend a character point on improving a skill, you're actually purchasing 4 ranks in that skill (for example, you may have seen that dwarves start out with just a tiny little bonus to all their tech skills, that's because they begin with 1 or 2 ranks in them all which amounts to 1/2 or 1/4 character points). A 5/4 bonus, therefore, means that you get a 1.25 character point bonus to Melee and Dodge, not a bad deal.
