New char, insights needed

Hi. I'm a complete newb at this game (and at this forum, 1st post) and I need some help w/ my char. I'm thinking a techie who uses guns and robots. The Tesla rifle looks like the best gun, but is there a way of getting it w/out cheating or putting CPs into Electrical? Also, do automatons need anything beside Mechanical? What should I put my CPs into? Finally, could someone post the stats of the tesla rifle including the strengh requirments? Thanks for ur help.

You need a elite plate mail for the aoutomaton and that requires a doctorate in smithy. And the gun is
10-80 damage
range doesn't say
11 strenght
the only way is to make it yourself :sad:

 

Crap, that means the only way to get an automaton is to become a doctorate at mechanical and smithy. And I'd need a doctorate in Electrical to get the tesla rifle. Uh, is there a way to do that w/out throwing all my points into those 3?

 

you could use intellect booster to avoid putting 18 into intelligence but that is as far as cp saving goes. Ofcourse if you find a spare elite plate or a tesla rod lying around.. But There is none.

 

will magnus ever reach high enough tech level to make elite? or sebastian enough for tesla wand?

 

If im going for the tesla rifle, do i need to be a doctorate w/ guns? And do I use CP to go up in discipline lvls or is there something else?
