I am working to bring toilets to Arcanum, but what would be the right size of the toilets? Something in the sense of a large chair?
A large chair seems to be right. The couple attempts I've made (unsuccessfully) averaged around 55 pixels wide and looked right beside humans.
I have just finished the first toilet in .ART and also the HEX: The sizes of this toilet are 54 x 74. Is this the right size or is it too big?
The best way to tell is to plug it into the scenery folder and mes, set the finished piece in WorldEd, add a human beside it and see. Is it the right size, too bright, too dark? If it passes those tests, add it somewhere in a mod or the main game, and check it again. Arcanum is very bright on its lighting, so something that looks good in WorldEd may be glaring in the game.
I have just change the sizes of the toilet(54 X 59), and this is how it will look like in the game: What do you think of this toilet?
Nice first try, but: The poor thing is at the wrong angle to look right in the game (Arcanum uses a 27 degree skew), it's got a jagged, blocky appearance, and I can't help thinking it needs a tank to complete the image of a Victorian-era toilet. A porcelain version of this is more like what's needed: http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o314/rroyo/Arcanum/toilets.jpg I round-filed these because I couldn't get away from the jagged appearance.
