Please share your stories of the game!

Hello, I'm currently working on a private relaunch of the game in my school to make more people experience the epic adventure that Arcanum offers.

For the relaunch I'd like you guys to tell your stories and memories about this wonderful game. The stories will be used to attract new players to the world of Arcanum, and hopefully we can get a good discussion here about aspects of the game that people like.

The stories can be anything from epic questlines to social experiences within the game etc.

I would be super grateful for your addition to this thread.

Exept the thread is descibeing bad things thats happened ingame, im looking for more "good" storries about the game from oldschool players

Oh god, that video.

I remember being shown it for the first time. For the first five minutes it's hilarious and then it just becomes incredibly distressing.

 

Let me share a tale of adventure and exploration.

A lone elven mage known as Eldritch wandered the land. His only constant companion a loyal dog he had saved from a filthy gnome. In his travels he had come across ruins rumored to contain a most powerful magical artifact, a glaive said to be meant for the master of throwing.

While walking the halls of the ruins he became lost and grew in frustration at being mocked by the ancient maze maker whos trap he had been caught in. Thinking he would just be done with it he hurled a fireball at a crumbling wall and made his way through the hole.

Then fate came in the small form of a strangley colored rabbit, whom Eldritch foolishly dismissed as a common animal. Thinking he would vent some built of rage he hurled a fire ball at the little bunny.

Then it all became a blur.Dog leapt after the fire ball quick to finish off the prey only to have the bunny leap at the faithful hound. Fur and saber fangs flew and suddenly dog was torn in half.

Eldritch was caught by surprise. He tried to stop what was coming.Fire balls and lightning bolts flew. a wall of earth sprang up. but nothing was fast enough nor could seem to slow the bunny and in a blink eldritchs head was torn from his body.

This was how I learned that Vorpal Bunnies existed beyond those I could summon myself.
