You may want to visit Victor's grave - you'll need a shovel.

Is there any way of doing the quest without profanating victor's grave?

    (spoiler)

And if you exepted the quest of helping her to find the betrayer then you should check her couch in the living room(beneath it)

I accepted the quest of the traitor and found the paper under the couch then I went to the house of the man who let this paper down and found the second paper about the pay but can't do anything more (can't get anything from the servants after that too)

To actually solve the "Whodunit" quest (ie. selling of information quest) get the note from the address specified on the item under the couch. Then go to the Hall of Records in Tarant. Take it from there - shouldn't be too hard to figure out .

thx I did it and I completed this quest but now I don't know what to do to find this damned book! This quest was in fact not related to the strict finding of the book (as I thought before) which remains my objective. So I'm still stuck.

    *Spoiler*

Dig up Victor. Take the book there to his wife, ask her about it. Go to Roseborough. Victor's wife has told you that his grave is there, and that Victor hid the book "where only he and his dad would know" (or something to that effect). Victor has buried the book with his dad. Dig up his dad's (Philip Misk) grave, the book is there, you can read it .
