any C&C fans doing here?

any of them? anyone got red alert, red alert 2, tiberian sun, emperor : battle for dune?

 

Used to be a fan. I have red alert and borrowed tiberian sun from my bro, but I have exhausted my interest in Harest>>>Build>>>Shoot games. It's not that I think they're bad, they just all melded together in my mind.

Last one I tried to play was Fate of the Dragon, but it's written badly so I gave up.

Last one I REALLY enjoyed was Majesty. It's character & gameplay really made it stand out.

 

I'm a fan! I loved emperor especially in 160081200 *32 resulution. I'm waiting for some rts to arrive but not now

 

i could't play internet games in E:BFD (i can just host game, not join) becuz tech bugs, also i sent many e-mail & posted many topics about the bug, they just delete/ignore my topic/mail. this is very annoying, so i give up on E:BFD. then i read PCgamer's Arcanum review (also Computer Games review), play the demo, and brought the final version.

 

Yeah, I was used to be a fan of the C&C series since... well, since C&C. I played Red Alert 1, 2 and its extensions as well as C&C and its extensions. In fact RTS game were my favourite type of games until I got bored and switched to DiabloII/Arcanum.

 

Gotta love most rpgs.... espc Diablo:LOD.... just love selling my SOJ on ebay... lol, the only time i have EARNT money from playing games :smile:

 

The king of RTS is Starcraft because:
1.Cool storyline
2.Balanced races
3.Fast and never boring gameplay
4.Cool units so you can think of lots of tactics.
and so on

 

Yes Starcraft is a very good game. But it lacks of cool videos like in the C&C series (haha I still remember that I used to learn the dialogues and played little briefing remakes with my lil brother... lol)

the movies were cool back in 98. now it's so GODDAMN FAKE I have to take a STUPID pill to take this seriously. Emperor counted.
the starcraft movies were the best.

I have every single "base" C&C and expantion.
as for starcraft, I have SC and SC-BR but they dont seem to work anymore, when I'm installing SC it gets to like 30% then freezes :roll:
any help would be nice :grin:

 

they did release a special win98 compatibility patch you know. It isn't even supposed to start on anything except win95

 

Starcraft came out in about 1998. Broodwar in about 1999. How could they not make it Win98 compatible? Besides, if a game works in Win95, it should work in Win 98...

 

Well I have Win98 and Starcraft (BW)works without any patches.
By the way Jinxed you are right in the first C&C I liked the movies too(Kain was so cool :smile: )
