Help!!! Virgil and Magnus DEAD!!!

While trying to enter the Black Mtn Clan Virgil and Magnus died. I hit save accidentally (F7, instead of F8), and i tried to goto Tarant and get a couple of Scrolls of Resurrection, but by the time i got back, I guess there bodies had turned to dust so I played on. Now nothing seems to be clicking. As abundant as the Kathorn Crystal was, I returned from the Isle of Despair and cannot find one in ANY town I goto.(I also tried the InvenSource modification file to add hard to find items to the shops inventory and cannot get it to work.) Can someone tell me if they(Virgil and Magnus)are essential to completing this game.

 

I'm sorry. You have lost Virgil and Magnus PERMANENTLY. They contribute to the main plot alot, especially virgil, but you dont need them to win. Kathorn crystals can be found at the Black Mountain clan and some other locations. Anyway you can get the spectacles from Thorvald Two Stones on the island of Despair.

Yeah you don't need them. There's no earlier save you can go back to?

Saving regularly is so the key to this game! Especially your first time through.

Anyway. If you plan on forging on, there are plenty of other characters you can recruit to your party! Go get Jayna or Dante if you need a healer. And get the dog in Ashbury! I'm assuming youre not very evil or you wouldn't have Magnus... so I guess Geoff is out... uh... yeah and Vollinger. Those guys will work fine.
