I was a half-ogre warrior mage the first time around. I picked summoning and temporal, with a few points to get teleportation. The rest went into the things that were needed to achieve that level of magic and fighting ability. It is really to you. There is a natural inclination toward magic for these characters (according to the manual), but not really any bonuses. Good luck! Oh Yea! and welcome to the forum! _________________ "Look fresh meat. He has such pretty lips. You will be my bitch!" because of there size they are not good pick pockets or prowlers, so i would avoid taking the thief route.
What Longtooth said. Take advantage of your Half Ogre's basic characteristics. While you may train him up for magery or technology, this isn't their strong suit. Half Ogres make the finest Melee/Dodge fighters due to their inherit strength and health bonuses. You may still train up technology; but to max it, you will need to use intelligence potions or brain builder since their int cap falls a bit short.
put a LOT of points into DEX. the more the better at that. he's strong and the more attacks you can do the better. take advantage of his strength!(with a good weapon) =]
