Well, Lysa and I spent all of Saturday and Sunday, pacing hauling, buying, hauling, cleaning and unpacking, and we're still only half unpacked. We're getting there, though. As expected, my ADSL provider completely screwed my order up (inability to keep two pieces of paper togather once they're off the fax machine). Unfortunately, BT also screwed up, so I couldn't dial up, either. I think my dial up will be fixed today, but ADSL seems to be getting further away, rather than closer. I may not be posting much in the next little while (Wimbledon just started as well, so that'll take up some time).
It's all deceit! He will post with his other account and try to fool us by staying off S_F for a while!
But at least dial up actually works in England. Here, you get transfers like .6 k and it costs 10 cents for 3 minutes. When I started posting big time on this forum, before I became a mod, I had dial up. And one month cost me 200 $.
Unpacking? Who needs this "unpacking"? Just live out of the boxes. After a few months, everything will magically find it's way out of the boxes and into the drawers/cabinets.
Don't worry S_F, you're not the only one with problems. My server (demon) is 'experiencing intermittent connection problems'. Which, in short, means that sometimes I can log on to sites other than Yahoo and sometimes I can't. Is there some sort of new virus sweeping the English servers?
I agree with Milo on the box living. It works way better than unpacking, plus, you get to hang out near a bunch of cool boxes, which makes you look classy.
BoxES? All you need is a box! Not two or three or more! Just one box! And a bridge to leave it under. Voila, half-star accomodation, all for free!
Anywayyyyy ... Farr't, I'm not aware of any new viruses, but there does seem to be a string shite ISP's sweeping the country. Milho, my stuff tends to miraculously find its way out of the boxes onto the floor, then break itself. Plus, wives are pesky crittters. They have an unreasonable aversion to crapola lying around.
