Iron Clan... Contains spoilers...

Okay, if anyone can help me with this one, I'd appreciate it. I've gotten the stuff from the safe in the museum and been to the cave. I've repaired the machine and gotten the thing to talk to me. I've also managed to build the key and read the book. But apparently I'm missing something as I can't open the entrance to the Iron Clan caves. I am guessing that there's some sort of crystal I need to put in that device next to the entrance, but I can't find such a crystal. If anyone has finished the Iron Clan quest, could you please let me know what I'm missing. Thanks.

 

Yep, same here...I'm just about gone crazy on this quest, too...the next thing I KNOW I need is the 'Key of Glass'...and damned if I know where that is.

I want a shot at the indescribable power to be had, dammit. Power. Power beyond belief.

So they are...but in the wrong place.

The Mannox and Iron Clan quests are SUBQUESTS, not part of the main quest. Putting them in the main quest walkthrough suggests that they are required to continue the game.

They are not.

They should have been put in the 'Caladon' and 'Wheel Clan' areas...where I looked for them.

Ring and entrance...

Okay, I thought about the ring and have been through Roseborough, but never found a cave entrance or anything. I tried following the directions on the stone next to the entrance to the inn, (from it's original location, not it's current location) but never found anything that way either. Guess I never explored far enough North. Thanks for the pointer, I'll see if I can find that cave.

 

I followed the link and it took me nowhere. Probably down. So where do I find the Iron Clan?

 

Saint Mannox...

I did eventually find the necessary location to finish this quest. I suspected that the glass object in the case behind the Archeologist was the key I needed, but was hesitant to kill him to try to get it open. After a while I did get the link posted here to work, and managed to get some idea of where to go. In Roseborough, you follow the shore to the west and eventually you will run across an entrance to Saint Mannox cave. Once you've opened it you'll find a ceremonial sword, and his diary that reveals some information about the religion. When you have these return to the archeologist and talk to him, he'll talk to you now, and will open the cases behind him. Hope this helps.
