This is my first post, my first time on this site too, I had no idea that this game had ppl that still played it. I bought it when it was releaced and it took me months to beat it(and lots of saveing), just to day i had the idea of searching for it on the net to find a patch or something(the game seems a little bugy to me) and I found this site to wich i'm still exploring. I always thought that this game hadn't done very good and that there were no ppl that play it. but i find a bunch of ppl that know everything about it. this is truely a wonderful day! Just one quick ? tho, is there any way of getting back out of the void after you go in? Because I worked for 5 months getting my char there and now I think i might have just lost him, HELP!
The game didn't sale to great because there was a major warez leak I think and many people just got a copy off the internet. That is a big reason they (probably) aren't gonna make another one. Damn illegal versions. But yeah many people still play it. I just beat it again today and plan to make another character. As far as I know there is no way to get back out of the void, short of beating the game of course . Do you have an earlier save? Just out of curiosity, how do you lose your character?
Yes, I just recently found this site myself, pretty cool! 8) About your question concerning getting out of the Void; I have no idea. Only way out would be to kill Ghergan I think.
what i mean by loseing him is that when i got to the void and found out what was going on I was like ok i'll just be going back to have some fun in Trant, man i didn't eaven get a chance to find the Iron clan! I bet there are some sweet scematics there!
Oh ok. Well do you have an earlier save? Or you can just go ahead and beat the game and make a new character. It is always a good idea to have several save games in case something happens. I know I lost some items (long story) that I needed for a quest I really wanted to do and had to go back several hours to an earlier save game, but that was better than havin to wait till I go to that point the next go-round.
nope i don't have a saved game, and i guess i'll just leave my char there in the void, while i make a new one.
I don't recall any way to get out of the Void (other than loading a previous game). Seriuously don't think you'll be able to find everything there is to find in the game without starting again (have you found the beta-testers' graveyard yet?) And you're posting in the wrong forum...
You probably mean the "Fan Graveyard" It's just a bunch of funny things the programmers put in for the fans. Supposedly a lot of stuff about their previous Fallout series. I've never been there or played the Fallout series, so I am missing out. Oh, and welcome to the forum.
oh ok. just wondering but I killed the little guy at the temple in caladon and took the 3 items in the cases, i know one is the iron clan glass key, and the finger is a awesome necklace, but the eye of Karka-Tur i can't find out what to do with it...i tryed throwing it at him....i dyed shortly after... i guess it don't matter i'm traped in the void...
No single PC can do every thing in the game. I can come real close, but I have been playing for quite a while. And that is only close.
no i know that it'd me impossable to do everything with one char. I mant i'd make diffrent chars to do diffrent things.
yah i was thinking how fun it'd be to runarround decentagradeing everyone, would that work on every one? and would that work on doors?
Yes disintegrate works on anything, even doors - and I have yet to find ANY single NPC in the game who can resist being disintegrated; Sebastian with the highest TA in the game would come closest to resisting it but I have never tried it on him so I am a bit unsure of that one - why even bother when he would probably fall to the ground leaving no trace as did Alexander the First Acolyte, Jorian, Simeon Tor, KanHua and Nasrudin (all great mages with high MA)? BTW I think there is absolutely no way to resist being disintegrated (as stated in the manual it does 30,000 points of damage) other than the highest level meta spell (reflection shield) or the person casting it having 100 TA, in which case the spell, being level 5 would most likely fail to cast anyway).
Your character does return to Arcanum, after defeating Kerghan you click on the 'stargate' or something (I'm not sure) anyway this will be the end of the game and the End Slides will play. I believe theres a mod or a patch which will enable you to continue playing after the 'end'.
