Today I realised something very important .

Once you have truly found out what you want to do in your life , life is not worth living unless you just do it and never compromise whatever other think .

I have posted this because i want to know if others have realised this fundamental truth and if they have then please tell us how many years did you have to live on planet earth in order to discover this .

"If you don't have a dream,
If you don't have a dream,
How you gonna make your dream come true?"

Chris, some of us never find that one thing, that dream, and so remain dilettantes.

Chris Beddoes, where in the heck do I know your name from? I've seen you on another forum, I think, but I'll be damned if your name isn't very familiar, somehow. Don't you work for some gaming company?

Anyway, about the "being able to do what you want to do", yeah, it applies, I guess. I mean, what I want is to run around naked all the time, and do hot BayWatch chicks, but that ain't happenin. I'll just say that I think the ones that are happy doing what they want to do, are very, very lucky.

Unfortunatly, not many people get to live out their lives the way that they want to. Take me for example, all I ever wanted was to have nasty, perverted, raw hot sex with any and all girls of my choosing. :-o But does that happen?? NO!!!!!

Re: Life is not worth living if you cannot do what you want

See, I've read "Chicken Soup for the Soul", and the only thing it moved me to was laughter. Yeah, I'm all for epiphanies and whatnot, but the whole cliched crap about "following your heart" and whatnot really pisses me off. As are quotes by famous people, which supposedly somehow caputre the essence of whatever they're talking about, simply because they're famous.

If you want to talk 'fundamental truths', here's one for you: The only fundamental truth is you're born, you die, and life is what you do in between. Whether or not you've followed your dreams is irrelevant.

People go on about the 'gift of life', but is it really a 'gift'? Not to my mind, it's just something you have that other entities may not. I'm not saying it's a burden either, so don't go off on that whole "Jar, you're a depressed closet Goth" tangent either.

This whole "life is only worth living if X", where X is some sort of condition that you've imposed is complete and utter crap. Besides the idiotic use of English, being arrogant enough to presume that you've perceived the truth of existence is what pisses me off.

Jar, you depressed, gay, closeted Goth. How can you say this,
    after saying this,
    ???

Granted, it is annoying when people get preachy with their "I've discovered that in order to truly love someone else, you have to love yourself," or "Life is not worth living unless you just do it and never compromise whatever other think." But jeez, lay off a little.

    Female mudwrestling?

What a poor life you must have chris. Fact is that none of us can do whatever we want to do all the time, and acording to you life is not worth living during that amount of time. I still found my life worth living even though i had to get upp early this morning. Also you have to make compromices, all people have to. So acordong to you, your life sucks, mine to by the way. SO you think my life suck you arshole? DO YOU?

I know you are entitled to your own oppinion and all that so you may just keep on beliving your fundemental truth, but don't kill yourself as soon as you don't get to like an expample cleaning the sidewalk.

I will say nothing, but i have a few thoughts on the subjeckt

    FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!!

That's the worst game from Queensland I've seen in years. But NSW's first try was bullshit, Kennedy didn't ground the ball properly. If that had been disallowed, the game would have turned out very differently (by simple virtue of changing that one event changes everything after it). The worst part is the media talking up Andrew Johns - that kick was luck, not genius. I hate that bastard.

Well, it's quite simple - Firstly, I said the second part first, secondly, it was said as an example to show that anyone can make that sort of statement, but that doesn't make it true. I never claimed it was true either.

I hardly see how claiming to have a few thoughts on a given subject and not posting anything else, could ever be considered an amusing answer to an obviously RHETORICAL question. Oh well, I can only hope to one day compare to those of you possessed of "a decent inteligence "
