Two different sites i read gave two different stat changes for the final part of the god quest. Just wondered a few things, first, what exactly does it give you, and all changes. Another, i read somewhere about curses for donating to opposing gods, does that all go away after you do the final offering?? Or do you have to go and counter all the curses. That about covers it, if anyone knows these things knowing them would be Great.

For starters Id like to appologize about double posting, I dont know how to edit a post if thats possible, and two wasnt sure about the standard around here. Secondly, I answered my own question about the curses, I realized that doing the quest in order prevented/fixed this. Lastly, I just want to make sure that the information i found is correct, the gods quest gives 100 hit/fatigue, 4 dexterity, 2 points in melee, 3 points dodge, 2 firearms, and 3 pickpocket (points meaning a full jump on the scale, not 1/4). If im missing anything or have something wrong would someone be so kind as to correct me :D Again, sorry about the double post!!

Its a small sized version of PRIMA's official strategy guide.

I guess I must have gotten the game at the right time. Saved 20 bucks on the guide and the game cost 20 bucks!

nope, I stop just before the last greater god Kaitain.

I keep the +1 ST +1 DX +4 Haggle +4 Picklocks +4 Pickpockets from the last circle. I'm already 20 charisma, don't use bow and definitly not interested in Be that the greater god gives you.

As far as velorians blessing, I just have my 10 guys just whack on things for me. I'm never in the fight!

    parmanian

PS so by the time I get to the wheel clan (alberich) I finish my gods quest

Gotcha, I like to get my hands dirty. Is there anyone out here who has completed the whole quest?

Considering how long the game has been available, I'm guessing one, two players. Maybe.

It's funny, over at the official Morrowind boards, how many kids still wander in and start threads like, "How Many People Have Finished The Main Quest!!!"

That's exactly the same blessing results that I posted earlier, and I pulled mine out of the stats the game uses... Good enough confirmation for you?

Yes, it does. The game calculates those ranks with 4 little bars making up one big bar (which is how much you get when you invest a point...usually). The little bars are there for things like items and backgrounds which give bonuses to skills. So, in other words, the information on T-A is at least partially correct - it may not list all the bonuses, but what it does list is right.

Yes, I have done the quest, several times actually, and the rewards are very much worth it. The last altar (Vendigrothian) is actually really cool. Also, how you're supposed to find Gorgoth pass without knowing the co-ordinates really stumps me...

I guess a few things will always remain a mystery eh? I will definetly be completing this quest, this dwarf is quite interesting, so is the game now that its patched, sometimes it wont let me use the world map even though the blue globe is there..maybe its a way to keep me from forcing Caladon, maybe its my bad luck..whos to say what it is? Oh well, ill be doing the Gods quest, havent yet with a character and think it would be interesting to say the least. Thanks for all the help folks.

    so Jarinor............

There isn't a conversation or note or anything that opens up the pass?

I've always been in a hurry and force it by walking down the mountain.

The next time I'll look for the altar while I'm there

As far as I'm aware, there is nothing to give you the location of the pass, other than forcing it in your fashion, or checking the location on this site. There are numerous references to the pass - and you'd think Loghaire would know where it is considering he fought in a battle there once - but it appears it just erases itself from everyone's memory.

Also, I think you have to actually fight your way through the pass before it appears on the World Map, so I think you've already found the altar there. Oh well. I prefer to do things in the order the developer intended, but to each their own.

That "three full jumps" is also writen 12/4. Yes, it is as writen, but the skills bonuses are applied against the base stat. So if you go in with CH 8 & 1 3/4 points in persuasion, you are not going to notice that +12/4 Persuasion boost.

Done the whole blessing chain a few times now. I have become fond of getting advanced training while under the influence of blessings. You can be a four point Master. And don't ever let anyone tell you an Elf can not be a Master lockpick.

Didn't use a single cheat either. But then I like puzzles.

I know some other players, more than just Parmanian, stop at the top of the third circle. For a tech thief, it would make a lot of sense to stop there. Both stat & role playing wise.

There are several refferences to Gorgoth Pass in Caladon alone, but no one ever marks it for you.

Every PC you will play, tech or mage, good or evil, is an adventurer. Sometimes you just got to go adventuring.

Don't worry, just save lots. & have a chain of named saves.

There are a lot of areas that are not mentioned that you have to stumble across in this game. like all these altars you know about but you don't know where they are! Like the first game I played not knowing really anything, just travelling around the map (for years and years), getting to level 40 before I even knew the BMC existed and still couldn't find a way over the mountains!

Needless to say there have been a lot of restarts to get the knowledge I have now and doing the mines at level 9 with 6 followers is a trip!

Quick and probably stupid question..but...how do you start the gods quest, or does it have to be officially started? Does Aldous live somewhere in Tarant?

Just talk to the elven scholar at the University of Tarant. Read his book, and examine (and print out) his wall diagram.
