Because I decided to test out my newly-found explosives after I had persuaded Luskan to give me the key and leave (Shrouded Hills), I discovered something:

I got a Fate Point for convincing him to leave and then, when I killed him and his partners, I got another fate point.
So two fate points for one! Whee!

Another thing: King Praetor in Dernholm has out-lawed any kind of technology in his kingdom, mainly due to his mage-councillors.
Now, then why would they still have electric streetlights in Dernholm? If they have electric lights, then they must have a generator somewhere nearby...

I know I know, I've also been wondering about that. Electric lights in Dernholm makes about as much sense as if retard would choose celibacy.

There are other flaws like that. For example, the Fire Master in Tulla carries a Pyrotechnic Bow...

But Arcanum ain't the first game in the world with design flaws, nor will it be the last. It's the human factor, Murphy would had been proud. Besides, you've got something to laugh at

Pyrotechnic Bow? Heh. Hadn't seen that one.

I would be very surprised if there ever was a game without design-flaws. Or movies for that matter.
However it will take a whole lot more than a couple of misplaced streetlamps to ruin my enjoyment of the game. :)

The street lamps could be gas, & probably are. No lack of hot air & gas in Dernholm.

A fire mage with a Pyro Bow? Where is the glitch? It is not equipped IIRC. Perhaps he wants to study it. I keep meaning to bring a scroll of Read Aura to Tulia so I can read his specs, but I keep forgetting.

The description says Electric Light when you point at them, so that is what I assume they are.
But apart from that you are right. Plenty of hot air and gas in Dernholm, unfortuantely they are using it all to keep the Melee Masters ego inflated and to keep King Praetor's ears from touching.

come one guys, theres no point to this conversation. noticing this kind of thing is more suited to people like me knowing that the name of the little monkey guy that sits next to jabba the hutt and laughs at everything in return of the jedi is named celatious crumb, and is a kloaken lizard monkey (klo-ay-ken) its just sad and useless information that indicates that i am without a girlfriend and will always be without a girlfriend.

oh wait, nm. i have had gf's... therefore there must be hope.

ok nm, this conversation has my approval. carry on.

Were they turned on by your masterful knowledge of the Star Wars (tm) universe, or was it your alluring charm??

No, I am certain that it must have been his spelling and his artful use of capital letters. ;P

I didn't think many girls would be turned on by a mans extensive knowledge of the star wars universe. I think it's a little worrying myself. Do you disagree Chalupa?

i never said it was my knowledge of starwars, they hated starwars. but i have a feeling they were turned on by my skillful use "punctuation" and "capitol" letters.

I also noticed something else in Dernholm. The King is all anal about technology right? He's also trained in firearms.

But, don't all the master mages of Tlla, except for 1 I think, say technology is a ridiculous weak thing, and magic will crush it? I know that the fire guy is anti-technology, so why would he have a pyro bow? I really can't complain though, I plan on whacking him so MY archer can get it as a tech bow, hehehehehe

I just used a fate point (hardly ever use those things) and 'borrowed' it from his inventory.

How about Baneful Gauntlets? Don't waste a fate point just for someone's item.
