A question for the ladies. Who's the hottest guy NPC? It's for a minor plot point in a mod I'm working on. I would pick it myself, but I wouldn't want to give you Sodd if you didn't want him. Of course, if you don't reply, I hear Chukka's free...

So who's your pick?

 

Although I'm not female, I must ask how the heck you decide if an NPC is 'hot' or not? Heck, they almost all look the same!

The only thing that could make them 'hot' would be their voice, and very few NPCs have that, and even for those that do, how would you replicate it?

 

Dude, it's just a basic question, which is most attractive, all in all. I don't think it's taht hard, I can say Raven is the most attractive female npc, mostly because she fucks you, but for other reasons too.

 

I still dont really understand the necessity of sex in rpgs, if there isnt any nudity then its more useless dialogue. Becoming a porn star in fallout 2 was gratifying though...

May be we can petition for a full frontal nudity female npc character in the next final fantasy...

 

Dude's there is nothing really about sex, the npc isn't even showing up in the mod. I just want a guy npc to use in the female versions of the conversations. It may or may not play a large role in the plot, but if it does I would prefer the famales be with someone that they would like to be with. i could make a joke and throw them with Chukka or something, but I don't want to carry that through the whole mod, I'd rather it be someone the girls feel comfortable with, that way I can write more naturally.

 

Well I know this really super hot guy named.... oh this is about Arcanum. Why are we still talking about that? I don't know about other girls, but I really don't find computer generated images "hot." Maybe you all are turned on by pixelated boobs, but to me, computer characters aren't hot/gorgeous/sexy/whatever.

I think he just means attractive, not to a physical extent but as a virtual person

uhhhh, i think snowmane meant how could you find something that consists of about 3-5 pages of dialogue options to be attractive as any kind of person.

Let me rephrase the question since you all seem intent on jumping on me for it.

Situation: You're playing a mod. In the story of the mod, your character has a relationship with another player. Nothing is actually in the mod except dialogue about it. Which npc from Arcanum would you rather have a relationship with?

I only said I thought Raven was the most attractive because I think she is written the best. I think Virgil is written very well for a male npc, but I would prefer to have a female's opinion as well. If you can't comprehend how something digital can be attractive and not have giant pixel boobs, don't bother replying, you obviously have no idea what I'm asking for so don't post back with some stupid comment about how the digital Laura Croft does or does not make you horny.

 

I'm not female, but I think an elven Technologist would be most appealing to females, mainly cause it's an odd mix. I understand what you're saying, so how're things coming along for your mod? how deep in are you? KoL is far from finished, I'm working on laying out the plot at the moment.

 

Well, since im not female i asked my sister who also plays Arcanum. At first she said Dog... :-? oh ha ha ha, but after some discussion i finally got a decent answer:she likes Aronax the best. She likes him the most because he is ehm, i quote: 'the coolest', and because she likes elven chars the best. Hope that helped

Well... I think you should specify what you mean. Hot v. Attractive. I certainly find Chukka attractive (I mean, c'mon, he's just so sweet on the inside, I'm sure!) but, he'd never be considered one of Arcanum's 100 sexiest males. But I'd say none of the NPC's in Arcanum are all that hot.
