Black Necro and Alignment?

Black Necro has some interesting spells, but I'm not ready to decide to be evil or not. So, I'm wondering if it is just the use of spells of the 'evil' Black Necro college that would cause evil alignment or if it is who I kill with those spells, just as usual? I have recently taken Black Necro/Harm and used it on a lot of Zombies and my alignment hasn't changed, this makes me suspect that the usual rule of alignment only going negative if you kill 'good' NPCs still applies.

As an aside, Sogg has recently dropped in his reactions. I'm not sure why yet, but could he be reacting badly to my use of Black Necro spells?

 

Excellent, that is what I was hoping would be the case. Somewhere or other in the manual it refers to the College of Necro as 'evil' so I was wondering.
