It seems that my strength 10 character is having difficulties putting a dent in a light wooden door with a hammer, and vice versa. Other than the text HT 0 there is no indication whatsoever that my character is hitting it, and likewise with virgil. The weapons aren't damaged, neither is the door. Note that this is in the latest patch. Also note that I have no lockpick, magick, or bomb-making skills. I figured I could just beat down doors I couldn't unlock. Shouldn't the door at least damage my weapon even with inferior strength?
That shouldn't be... A char with 10 strength and a hammer should do some damage to a normal door, albeit low damage. Like at least 1. Try it with an axe. If it still does 0 damage, then try attacking a different door or a chest just to see if it's your game that's buggy.
Axe's are by far the best weapons to hack down doors with in the game, just like in real life  After all, that is why firemen have axes and not hammers. Also, axes seem to take no weapon damage from hacking anything - except metal. And the charged axe blows through doors. Alex
You get the charged axe off Sebastian, after you get back from Qintarra...don't know if there's a schematic for it though. He has some other pretty cool tech items as well - eye gear, flow disruptor and a healing jacket.
How do you kick open doors like that? I tried to attack a lantern but just left-clicking on it while in combat mode would not do the trick....
Youdon't need to do that for non-aggressive people. You just go into combat mode and attack that person.
