hey, ever since I upgrade from 8.0a to 8.1 (wanted to play freedom force demo, damn) Arcanum graphics have been screwing up... if I play on safe mode, it's ok.... but it's slower than normal.... when I do play it (not in safemode), I move around some and weird crap happens, like thick black stripes go across the screen, some tiles are where they shouldn't be.... so what I wanna know, can I somehow revert back to the old directx? I've tried installing it but I'm on win2k and it did squat... someone help me out
You probably have to upgrade the drivers for your graphics card... I had the same problem with the strange black stripes moving across the screen, and updating the drivers helped a lot!
DX8.1 is not to blame isnce I'm using it and everything is fine - however I did not install it on previous version of DX. As for unistalling DX there are some programs in the Net but I couldn't dl any of them (bloody broken links). BTW Microsoft does not support uninstalling DX.
actually I did upgrade my nvidia drivers, from the older 23.11 to the new 28.32 and I'm glad to report that Arcanum runs well again on normal mode (no more damn safe mode for me, no sireebob )
