Does Everyone Get a Level 35 Familiar at 15th Level?

I tailored my character development to get a familiar at 15th on the nose so I could raise it up with me as much as possible. Then I summoned a 35th level familiar who didn't gain a level when I leveled. Is this how familiar is supposed to be? A set level 35 monster? Does this beasty get any better? I'm not knocking a 35th level free follower, but I thought it was supposed to grow with me. Any thoughts?

 

I tried experimenting myself and nothing seems to work. I guess if you summon a familiar it'll stay that way. At least it doesn't add to your number of follower's list. :smile:

 

The level of the familiar depends on your magic aptitude.

 

I use fate points so I can get the best familiar. :grin:

 

friend_al_23 what's the stats of ur familiar?

 

I don't know becuase that was quite some time ago. I think it also has 35th level plus mastery in Melee, expertice in Dodge, etc. 21 in strength, etc. That's all I can remember.
