Greetings all, I have two questions. First, I am in the mines now busting up seething masses and using kite shamans to wax the floors. I'm a level 23 half-orc battle-mage. I use summon Ogre, and harm, change out two mystic staves for the 60 points of mana they give me, am the Melee master, have whacked Stout, or whatever the former master's name was, and sworn to restore the sight of the dodge master. One problem, nobody will tell me where Stillwater is! I don't just want to go to the map coordinates, I want do it the "real" way. When/where can I get somebody to tell me where it is? Thanks, all.
You're in the Black Mountain Mines? Wait a while.... Finish the mines, go... somewhere else, then somewhere else, then talk to someone there, who'll tell you where Stillwater is.... Not very good at giving information without spoilers, am I. I've been TOLD that if you ask around Tarant, people will tell you where Stillwater is, but I've never myself found such knowledgable cityfolk. Bah. Anyway, short answer, wait. It'll come. :grin:
stillwater's location comes in good time and there are some nifty quests there. ive had characters who wander all over arcanum for experience points and usually i walk past stillwater. AFAIK you cant do the most important quest there without going through all the main plot stuff. since you dont want spoilers just follow the main plot...
If you do just find Stillwater before it gets marked on the map, everyone except one NPC will be there. Anything you want to do other than advance the main plotline will be possible.
thats what i thought, but i wasnt quite sure. i know ive never seen that guy there, but i wasnt sure about everything else being there.

It was just as you said, do the thing in the place, talk to the folks at teh other place, yack it up with the other person. and before I know it, there I am, and I finally become the dodge master (even if my character never seems to actually *use* that ability). I just "beat" the game for the first time. Thanks again all.
