Flame thrower and Hand Cannon damage is awfully low –

I got Hand Cannon from the PickPocket Master and I'm extremely disappointed with it. Not only I miss more often than not with this gun (and I'm Firearms Master, 20PE, sufficient ST) but also it deals very low damage (around 15-22 per shot) considering the damage it's capable of (5-60 IIRC)

As for Flame Thrower I must say that it also doesn't work againt undead (I don't use it against other creatures except for water demons, slimes, etc.) the way it should. The average damage I get is around 20-30 while it should be almost instantenous death to highly flammable mummies or skeletons.

Is it ordinary ro do you get some higher damage with these weapons? BTW I'm using Otto Krupp's Gun Hack which should actually increase damage.

 

Well I found that the hand cannon was a bit rubbish too. I can't comment on the flame thrower, I haven't got one.

It has been apparent to me that most of the firearms in the game are a bit crap, until you start getting the high-tech ones, like the tesla gun, elephant gun, blade launcher etc. The problem with that is that these guns are pretty high tech, so they need a massive training investment to make.

I found a schematic for a rifled cannon, which needs a hand cannon and pure ore to make. I haven't made one yet, but if you should perhaps check it out, and if you've got enough skill, you can make it... hopefully that will make it into something useful...

 

It does. It ignores damage resistnce.

Is it just bought or do I have to look somewhere?

 

Flame thrower kicks ass. It drains ammo fast but it does work against undead.

 

But not any better than other weapons - in fact it often deals less damage.
