Mrs Lydia Cameron in Blackroot quest

The 1st time I was in Blackroot when I went into the home of Lydia Cameron she was in bed. I stayed and advanced time but she never woke up. And yet in my "rumor" log not my quests, it said that she was looking for her son Liam.
So I went to liam's workshop and found him dead. I took his notebook & destroyed the portal then went back to Blackroot in the hopes to complete the quest but Lydia Cameron is still sleeping.
Can anyone advise me what I need to do to be able to talk to her?

there is nothing YOU can do to wake her up, you'll just have to wait and hope she wakes up by herself or go to an earlier save before you went to blackroot.

 

It's either a bug or you messed up. I have never found him dead. At least there was no body I could find. Other than that there is nothing I could think that you did wrong, but don't people lock their doors when they go to bed?

 

Actually, it's Liam's body on the path to the portal. You did the quest right.

This is a very common bug that often gets in my way at the wheel clan. Only fix I know of is a previous save. Sorry.

 

I don't know. I just run around towards the west and stumble upon the gate in my games.

to wake some npc up

i posted somewhere that i found a walk around in this situation i used the 1.07 version with this one u need some followers
1st move away as far as you can from the sleeping npc
2nd use the hotkey to let your followers attack the sleeping npc
3rd after the sleeping npc wakes up used the backoff hotkey and the wait hotkey

ive used this a lot in the wheel clan to wake up the npc who give the quest to get his brother

but... sometimes the npc and your followers reactions towards you go down

 

In the wheel clan you just need to wait outside until it is around middle of the day and then enter, then he is usualy awake.

 

Admittedly the wheel clan problem was the patch before the most recent one for me, but I've arrived in the middle of the day and the twit was still sleeping.
