Multiple Saves/Saves Lives!

Well holy hannah, I just fixed my "chest" problem with my female thief (wow that sounds dirty)

Back when I totally fubar'd one of my fav chars (the sword that takes away 4 dex permantly)..I was told to do multiple saves

Well, I started doing that, occupying up at least 4 saves (auto save not included) and eventually I got to the point where no chests or barrels would open for me

SO..After all this angry spouting and trying everything I could think of ..I just loaded up a save right before that ..for grins

Sure enough, the chests open, right along with the barrels

My chest problem is fixed!

(feels like smiling into a camera and thanking Terra Arcanum for fixing his chest problem)
