Yeah, I beat the game as a lvl 55 prowling master, persuasion master, firearms master, repair master (which in retrospect a waste of time...), with maxed out schematics in mechanical and smithy (before I figured how easy and cheap it was to steal them)

    Now I'm thinking of

    techno halfling thief

gunsmith and electrical dwarf with 2 lvls in chemistry for the charges

simple melee and dodge orge (not to mention this guy will have low int for the dumb dialog)

which is the most interesting of the bunch?

    Ogre

Go for the Ogre w/ Joined the Circus, that way you can have 20 strength on character creation.
The Stupid dialogue is fun, although it means you cannot complete some quests, and most people don't like total morons.

Hmmmm... a thief is fun for single, but if you ask me, whats more chalenging and fun is to..... CREATE A CHARACTER SUITED TO KILL ANY KIND OF CHARACTER EFFIECIENTLY EXCEPT ITS OWN TYPE, which I believe I have done, however, I could be mistaken.

Yessssssss........ I believe you may have mentioned that on occassion.

May I ask exactly what sorts of characters you've created, and why they're so much fun to play? And what's so fun about being able to kill everything, anyway?

Tesla gun be damned: I'd rather kick wolves for an hour.

M.T., dude, I think you may have issues. What kind of characters ARE you creating? Maybe you took the mad doctor background too seriously. Chill out man. Life's too short.

M.T. You have officially been confirmed as the self absorbed annoyance. I pity the fact that you would overly be confident about yourself on a mere video game, only to balance the non-aggressive self in the real world.

You need to look at your prorities and issues, and then [hypnottically droning] kill...alll...stupid...people...[end transmission]. That will solve your issues.

Go for the techno Halfling thief. Make him an archer. Archers are awesome in this game. Charged rings. Explosives for the Pyro Bow. Prowl & spot traps. Try raised by Orcs or Beat with an Ulgy Stick.

Charges are too easy to buy to invest the points in Chem, unless you need Halucinite or something else from that chain. Or simply get Volinger.

For a tech gunslinger, try 1/2 Orc Female, Miracle Operation. ST, CN, & DX all 5; CH 9, PE 13! You don't need Gunsmithy, get your first pistol as well as training to Expert from Doc Roberts. Steal the rest of the guns you need.

Dumb dialog is hillarous. Try an Elf Super Model sometime.

May I ask why a half orc? Would dwarf be any worse?
P.S. ANd thanks for the advice about going early to Ashbury for the dog. I just remembered that there is also a looking glass rifle to steal there... :)

Her ST, CN, & DX come out better than a Dwarf's after the background hits. You only need to raise her DX by one point to 6 in order to get enough mele & dodge to get out of the crash site. The Dwarf needs two points. His CN needs to be 5 & is not. Two points the girl does not have to spend. Either has enough CH to get Sog, & both will need him to carry stuff. Both need Janya's drugs.

But mostly, I like playing the females. Being able to buy the Elegant Dress & put it on at the start is a big advantage.

Don't know. I seem to get out fine out of the Crash site with two points in firearms and one for hand crafted flintlock- the points I would spend anyway, so why not now.( Dx is probably needed for a melee character, but take a rapier and you can manage with one melee point, its fast enough.

Not nearly all of my gunslingers study Gunsmithy. Finding relvover parts in the industrail salvage box at the crash site can change my plans though.

Where exactly is that box??? I only find one, guarded by a kite shaman. If you mean the one in the cave, I only find the broken flintlock there. I wouldn't mind a revolver at the crash site of course.

When you first appear at the crash site, Between Tumblebrook's body (I think that is the one) & the wreckage, carefuly hidden in the weeds, is a random tech box. It is on screen when you first appear, you don't need to move to highlight it. The barrels in the cave all have fixed contents, & one has the other revolver piece.

There is a piece of steel under that box.

    Be a Bandit.

They don't have a bandit background for dwarves :( . I've never seen that box though. Maybe its another thing that goes wrong for me in this game like those stats...

it might be possible to edit the backgrounds, so dwarves can use that one...

The box is there. Every time. With a good monitor & a gunslinger's PE, you can see the thing if you look carefuly.

Thanks. I hope PE 13 will be enough. It would be VERY helpful to have a revolver, though like I said its not too much of a problem to make it with a hald-made flintlock

The problem is the FT that the flintlock does to you & the CN of 4. The doctor pescribes lots of rest between shots.

True. I think I'll try 1 point at throwing and a boomerang. It won't be too much of a waste as I do use molotov as a secondary weapon quite often (pity that the damage I do with it doesn't give any experience)

Haha it worked! A dwarf with miracle operation background, 4 points into dexterity, one in throwing and I made it out of the Crash site killing all the wolves outside! And I'm already level 5 by the way. I did use one stun grenade though on a pack of 4 wolves
