First of all... Saluatations for me! I've just completed the game, my lv 50 half-ogre destroyed that Kerghan without a blink. Virgil and Perriman just stood there and did nothing while my arcane axe bashed upon the bastard! HAHA! Oh, I got a little carried away there, he. Well, anyway, my next character is an elf. I choose troll offspring as background as I don't want followers. I've spent my points this way Str 13 Int 9 Con 10 Wip 9 Dex 15 Per 9 Bea 5 Cha 4 Bow, Dodge, Melee: 2 0n each Shield of protection I shall pump up dex, str and con and turn him into a magnificent archer, and probably give him a few spells, maybe pump up haggle too. But my question is - is perception at all required for archers? If not, I seem to have wasted a cp...
perception influences ranged attacks I think, so it would be a good thing for archers. Troll offspring for an elf .. interesting ..
Reply ...but perception doesn't add to the bow skill. Perception seems to be extremely valuable for gunslingers but not at all important for archers, am I right or not?
Quote from character creation: Perception - The character's ability to notice things, helps greatly in all forms of ranged combat.
It is also good that you ran up your Dex. With a good Dex and the bow that you get from the elf shopkeeper in Quintarra (for the mithral ore)you can fire an insane amount of arrows in a round.
And for throwers....??? somebody told me that dex isn't important for throwing skill?? Is this true?? If is then i'm in deep shit!
