Problem with Hex editor

Hey Chums,

I know this question is a bit of a variant from modding and scripting, but I am trying to run a savegame editor and edit my stats. I am using HxD hex editor and following TJ Galda's guide. I just started a new game, saved it, and went into the hex editor. I am using a male character so I typed in 14 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 FF FF FF 0F to search and HxD replied that there was no hex value that matched that specification.

Even after I locate my player, I am still a little unclear as to what to put into the lines to edit my stats.

I am a level 1 Male Human, if it helps.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks folks.

 

No need for hex editor, just use Cheat Engine, ArtMoney or something like that.
