Why does healing salve work on me sporadically. I am running a technologist dwarf and I know healing magic won't work well. However after a certain number of uses (I'm not sure how many) Healing salve quits working as well. It won't work on Sogg and my only other character in the party is the Tech Healer Lady. I'm screwed in the Dwarf Mines because I have to keep trekking all the way back out to sleep and it takes forever.
With a tech character, it is a tad harder to heal. A magic one has potions - which seem quite common - and spells - and mana regens. For a tech character, though, you need the Heal Skill - which requires bandanges, and they seem to get ripped though fast. Also, you can make healing stuff from plants - that should work just fine. One trick with a tech character is hit two or three towns before a major dungeon, buying all the bandages, etc, you can find. Alex
Use healing salves, not healing potions. Guaranteed 20 hitpoints of healing, for half the weight of a potion. Works whether you are tech or not...
While playing a tech character I noticed the higher my healing skill the more hit points healed with salves and bandages. As an Apprentice Healer I went through 'em faster than I could steal 'em. As an Expert Healer, it appeared 10X better. Tonight this 3rd character should become a Master Healer.
Well, I would assume that as your skill increases, so does your proficiency . Is heal actually a good skill, or is it just really shit?
