Ok you know the Strange pond where you get the ring of shadows right? well i discoverd something that rocks! some one tell me if this is already known, plez. ok well I had put the ring on out side of kree trying to get the golden idol thingy right? well I was a magic user so virgil started healing me after my health went down and it drained me alot faster than i thought and I fell down. so then i take the ring off when i'm lying on the ground and my guy stands up still invisable and with -12 FT, but he's standing, i can't move. so I wait till my FT comes back and what do you know i'm invisable perminatly! It worried me though that I'd be stuck this way for good! Nope you just put the ring on and take it off again befor your FT runs out and you will be vis able again! Cool trick huh? great for geting things that are guarded by loads of monsters. they can't see you unless you attack!
I think I saw someone post about this before. I personally have never tried it. I have been to the strange pond but the ring is a random item. Maybe I will find it somewhere else. BTW, did you get your name from somewhere in particular or did you just think it sounded cool?
The Ring of shadows isn't a random item, it's a hexed item, it's at the strange pond every time i make a new char... i think... oh and where did you think you knew my name from ( i got it from some ware to tell the truth)
Well, in the Wheel of Time series there is alot of talk about becoming a blademaster. It has probably been in other things too, though. And by random I don't mean it sometimes works. I mean, it is in random chests. Though maybe I am thinkin of a different pond :???: . Oh well, I'll just be sure to check next time.
I am not really sure that that is a glitch. It could have been put there so as to make the ring less powerful. Or to make the player think. Or to reward him for trying everything. Many people think the Blackstone Blade's effects being permanent are a bug. I believe that also is intended. Other useful cursed items are in the game. Faves; the Nature's Wrath Helm, the Helm of Yacazar's Cost, the Axe of Lost Time. Useful glitches in my book are, for instance; the Heron Device, a thieve's underground quest, can be used as a Small Steam Engine to build a Mechanical Archnid.
Do you just stumble on this pond while adventuring? i haven't seemed to find it yet, and too lazy to look at the locations site......hehehe Parmanian
