Well, you know, it's been a pretty good 13 000 years in which to be a dude. Before that, women were generally more important, knowing about making babies and cooking yams and such. I can not think of any biological or theological purpose behind specifically aborting and exploding fetuses beyond the simple fact that it would be an hell of a show. In this case, given the source, pics or it didn't happen.
