I heard somewhere that you could train your followers. Like once you reached expert level, you could train your followers as an apprentice. How do you do this. I am an expert in melee, but I can't train anyone else. Please help. Thanks
The only way I know of is to have this ability as part of your starting background. I don't remember what it's called, though. The downside is that you'll be allowed one less follower.
The Educator background does that for you. I'm currently working on a mod, and I hope to be able to work out how to purchase training for your followers as well, or for them to automatically gain training like the dog does. Or perhaps to start off with training. It'll vary :smile:.
Welcome to the forum Forseti! And don't tkae educator! As far as I'm concerend, there are alot better backgrounds to choose from, and the followers handle themselves well without the extra help. Guess you would want to train them in something useful, like meele, but anyone who invests in it maxes it out or nearly does so.
Still, increasing their speed with a weapon by 5 is very handy, as is the not-affected-by-lighting-penalties bonus for getting melee expert...I have some custom backgrounds available for anyone who wants them...just e-mail me, and I'll send you the files and how to make them appear in your game...
use save game software to cheat the training part. i used this for sogg the 'melee master' and 'dodge master'.
Cheating isn't right. That's why it's called cheating and not "The way the game is meant to be played."
