Virgil reaction bug, pls help

Dammit, for some reason that escapes me, virgil's reaction keeps on gettin super low whenever i play. I'm just walking along and then out of the blue he says "I dont even like you enough to join you", his reaction drops from 135 to -1024 and starts attacking me! Whats most insulting is that the rest of the team think that i'm the one who attacked him! For gods sake, one time this happened i was selling some unwanted potions and not clicking even anywhere near him! i dont know what the hell is goin' on help me out PLEASE im afraid to play for fear of having to kill his scrawny ass!

 

Are you patched?If not patch it. Hope that fixes yer problem

 

if that doesn't work, then tell everyone else in your party to wait, then go somewhere far away in the woods and kill him.

Strange to say the least. Does it happen in a fight? If it does, make sure you do not hit him accidentally (quite possible for archers, throwers and gunslingers with certain guns.
