Well finding the alter stone was easy...now have the...

following problem, the Alter is unreadable, any ideas how to correct this or does this mean as it appears,that I have to go back and redo it in a different manner, I found the stone and repaired the alter before finding or talking to Stringy Pete..... Now is impossible to make an offering or to complete the Gods Quest.... Help.....

It is immpossible to make an offering there until you complete the first circle.

 

You... can't make an offering before completing the circle? :-o I thought that you could do it in any altar at any time, but then you couldn't do it in other one! ...You found the chest to make the offering? Or you're just clicking the altar?

 

Halycon is a major god. Before you can make an offer to a major god, you must make offerings to the right 4 minor gods in the right order. Offerings to minor gods can be made at any time.

 

on that note once you complete the 4 circles can your edo each one and each god to get back the previous bonuses

 

One of the most complex puzzles in the game is called "The God Quest." It is tied up with all those alters. As you go through the sacrifices in a loop, instead of the minor gods' blessings replacing each other, they accumulate. When you sacrifice to the major god at the end of each loop, the 4 blessings are replaced by the major god's blessing. Once you have a major god's blessing, it will stick around till... well, that comes later.

The only limit is heartstone. There are 5 pieces. You need one for a key & two for sacrifices. That leaves only two for playing other sacrifical games with.

There is an Elf PhD. in the university who's field is the old gods. Talk to him & print out his wall chart.
