What Level do you need to be to get Thorvald

What level do you need to be to get the dwarf on the isle on dispair
I have 3 Persuasion and I am level 18 but he says I am not a high enough level for him to join me. does anyone know what the level requirement is for getting him to join.

Also do you need a follower spot for him to join.

 

since thorvald is levl 23 you need to be 22 and talk him off the island. he requires a slot so have someone wait get him the have him wait and have the other rejoin then thorvald rejoin.

Now your gonna have to have him wait when you pick up the girl the have him rejoin. Best thing to do is drop the girl off in ashbury.

Hope you got a save game before you went to the isle!

also at lvl 18 you could go to qintarra and pick up jormond. he is free also and level 20. you will loose the quest for myrth in stillwater but thats ok you just steal his ammy and give it to gaylin back in SH to get raven to show up in qintarra later.

Thorvald, unlike Dante & Jormund, does not need a slot. The girl does not mind if Thorvald joins while she is in the party, but if you have Thorvald already, she will not join. I don't think she will rejoin either, but I don't remember testing that. Thorvald will not join a Gnome.

 

thanks shady I always wondered why he wouldn't join me when I played as a gnome one time! It really had me going there, reloading and trying diff things and now to find out why!

LOL as Thorvald tells you that he was banished to the Isle of Despair for 'picking on a gnome' he would probably be VERY bitter if he joins a gnome and finds out that he is not allowed to beat THIS gnome up! (talk about 'if you can't beat them, join them')!

Or was he so embittered with the whole gnomish race for 'indirectly causing' him to be banished to the Isle of Despair? If this is so, then why would he refuse even a Gnome for passage off the Isle of Despair? It seems to me like he hated being banished more than he hated gnomes.
'Are you a DWARF or a GNOME? Do you want off this isle or not'?
