I enjoy debating too...AS long as it doesn't involve flaming.

 

Flaming is the better part of debating.

I undertsand it would have been very hard to understand what I meant. I should have been more clear. My point is when Valeria grows up she's going to get her ass kicked by the world because you won't be able to protect her. I'm not whining, just pissed off that Valeria was allowed to flame me but I wasn't allowed to flame her back. Then you banned me. I'm sure if you were in my position you'd be pretty pissed off too.

Maybe, but responding flaming with more flaming leads up to increasingly nastier flaming, and can end up in warnings or a banning for one or both parties (like in your case). And it doesn't benefit anyone.

It's interesting how society has imposed certain constraints on us in certain matters. It's unacceptable to hit women, for example, under almost any circumstances.

I myself follow the philosophy of not fighting on other people's terms, and fighting to win, not fighting to be fair. If you're honourable, but dead (extreme example admittedly) then what's the point? You're still dead, the fact that you died well doesn't change shit. There's no point in fighting fair if you know you're going to lose.

I see nothing wrong with the attitude, because if it doesn't go beyond that, then neither party should have reason to complain.

I know this is a rambling post, but eh.

 

i think it's unacceptable to attack a woman unprovoked, either verbally or physically, but if she starts it, there's no reason not to retaliate. you just have to keep it in perspective; most women are weaker than most men, so hitting a girl cuz she's yelling at you isn't right. yell back, by all means. and if she is bigger than you and starts a fight, your best bet might actually be to run like hell but that rule applies to anyone weaker than yourself, not just women... so... yeah. basically, pick on someone your own size.

 

Many women can't (or perhaps just don't) do you any real damage when attacking you. If you retaliate when you're not threatened it's just because you're are too weak to control yourself.

Of course, I realise Rosie may well be obliged to hurt me to prove that I'm wrong about the reali damage thing. Will I retaliate? Nope. Will I run like buggery? Hell, yes.

 

I remember there is this girl at my school who used to kick me in the shins. Now that hurt! I never hit her back, and, strangely enough we're now friends.
