You come arcoss crashed Vendigrothian whirlybird.

The whirlbirdbird has seen better days and will probally never fly again. The pilot's lower half extends from the mangled wreck.
Enter command: Fix whirlybird
The whirlybird is beyond repair.
Enter command: Use Schreck's Multi-tool on whirlybird.
The Schreck's Multi-tool does not aid your repair skill (0) enough to fix it. Don't blame me, you're the one who chose to play an elf mage.
Enter command: Examine pilot's lower half
There is a small protrusion on the pilot's lower half.
Enter command: Examine protrusion
The protrusion on the pilot's lower half seems to be covered by a flap.
Enter command: Lift flap
A randy one, aren't we? Lifting the flap reveals a shiny pistol. The pilot himself was obviously not in the Vendigrothian Council Human-Equine breeding program.
Enter command: Get pistol
You now have the pistol in your inventory.
Enter command: Examine pistol
Examining the pistol reveals the stamp of the Vendigrotian Arms-maker and Teacupsmen's local #42 standard weapon statistics, description, and brewing instructions label.
Enter command: Read label
The label reads "Thank you for purchasing a Vendigrothian Light Magnification Pistol MarkIII. A stated by the instruction manual (product id no. 89052473) your pistol will only work during the day in open areas and, like all firearms, it never requires reloading. This pistol has a speed of 16, does 30-90 FD, weighs 30 stone, requires 0 bullets, and has a 20% chance of critical failure in your bony elven hands. Place one pistol into 8oz. cup . Add boiling water and let steep for 2-3 centons."

It was a brilliant piece of comedy, taking a plausible Arcanum encounter and presenting it as interactive fiction.

I loved it. 8)

BTW, while the hookers are legal, the drugs are still grey market, allowed but not legal. (Even somewhat price controled, check out the Milky Way in Amsterdam [I can't spell in english, let alone dutch].) I think it is both wonderful & funny that your marijuanna activists are pushing for full legalization with taxation.

To get Thorvald, you need 2 persuasion & not to be a Gnome.

To keep him forever, have him wait outside the Wheel Clan door, then go inside & talk to the guards. The guard's reply is his trigger to leave, if he doesn't hear it, he doesn't leave. Then go back out, pick him back up & fininsh what you want to do there. :grin:

You need to have Ravender talk to you about Shape & Stone, IN 12 & a potion of IN will work. With that you can get the king to return. Then he is eligible to be a follower.

 

You need a save before talking to Randver and intelligence of 12 or more. Just look for Shape and Stone
